DESCRIBE THE DRAW AS BALANCED.. Ahmed Al Shamsi: The AFC discussed possible amendments to the competition schedule
Ahmed Al Shamsi, Al Ain team manager, expressed his satisfaction with the draw for the knockout stage of the AFC Champions League, which took place this evening in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.
The draw was described by Al Shamsi as balanced, stressing Al Zaeem’s “The Boos” strong desire to achieve the aspirations of Al Ain’s loyal fans.
“After the draw ended, the clubs were keen to attend the workshop organized by the AFC to discuss possible amendments to the schedule of the first-leg matches in the first knockout round in order to take the situation of international players and those who participate in the Asian Cup into account, especially since the Asian final precedes the first-leg matches by 48 hours. We also discussed all the arrangements related to the final stages on the fringe of the workshop”, he added.
