Abdullah Ali, the Al Ain First Football Team supervisor, said that the “Boss” would hold a “closed” home camp in Dubai after returning to the country on 8th August 2021.

“The training camp will extend until 16th August 2021. The aim of holding the behind-the-door camp is to complete the preparatory program for the new season. It is scheduled that the team will play against one of the AGL teams prior to leaving back to Al Ain City,” he said.

On the team’s away training program, he said: “The away summer camp is about to finish, and things have gone according to the pre-set plans designed by the coaching team under the command of the Ukrainian Serhiy Rebrov. Al Ain is scheduled to play two friendly matches on 6 and 7 August against Spain’s Atlético Pulbellino and Union Deportivo Alzira, respectively, before returning to the country on 8th August 20121.”

In response to a question about the current status of the injured players, he said: “Thank God for not experiencing any serious injuries at the current stage. However, as it is known, the players are getting together after a long break, and the medical staff fears that the players will suffer muscle injuries, which may need a long time to heal.”

The Team Supervisor added: “The player Saeed Al Minhali underwent successful surgery, during which the knee cartilage was cleaned. The team doctor confirmed that the player might need two to three months to join the training sessions. However, he is progressing well and responds well to the medical treatment programs. We ask Allah Almighty that he returns stronger after completing the treatment period.”

As for the mid-field player, Yahiya Nader, Abdullah Ali said that he and his teammate, Sultan Al Shamesi, joined a rehabilitation program and individual exercises in preparation for their return to the team’s training sessions.

“Nader has recently suffered a mild pain in the front muscle. The two players are scheduled to join the team’s training sessions in the coming days,” he said.

It is noteworthy that Al Ain Team had played four friendly matches. The first was against the University of Murcia, which ended with the latter’s victory by 1-0. The second was against Spain’s Levante who won by 1-0. Finally, the Boss also played against KSA Al Ra’ed and Real Murcia and won both teams by the same result, 1-0.
