Officials of Al Ain FC and Egypt’s Al Ahli have finalized the transfer agreement of Hussein El Shahat this morning to join Al Ahli squad in accordance with the player’s request and consistent with the long-standing relationships between the two big clubs.

While the two parties agreed upon all the details of transferring and registering the player officially in lists of Al Ahli, the details and value of the agreement were not disclosed.

On this occasion, El Shahat expressed his sincere gratitude and deep appreciation for Al Ain Club’s management and teammates for their boundless support during the time he spent with the Boss and the professional style that Al Ain FC did exhibit before and during the time he spent with the squad. “Personally, I owe a lot to Al Ain for all the things the club did for me. I spent great moments in its halls and corridors during my unforgettable journey with this great and lofty club. I will always cherish the great memories I experienced with the team, particularly clinching two historical titles and above all granting me the opportunity to play in a great big international tournament for the world clubs.” He also stated that it is difficult to describe his true and genuine feelings towards Al Ain while wishing his teammates all the best in their future challenges.

“Playing for Al Ain was a great dream and an ideal opportunity to embrace the glory. It is enough for me that my name is linked to great and exceptional personal and collective achievements. I would like to avail this opportunity to thank the management and fans for all their generous and extraordinary support,” El Shahat said.

He added: “I am so pleased that the officials of the two big teams were able to finalize the agreement and giving me the honor to defend the logo of the Club of the Century. Indeed, it is my childhood dream and happy to realize it. I know well what I am meant to do in the coming period and I do promise to push myself to the limit while defending the logo of Al Ahli.”

He signed off by stating that coming days require Al Ahli’s management, coaching team, players and fans to work hand in hand to realize the team’s immense aspirations. We are all required to work in the spirit of the one family and sure our aspirations will never soar below the sky, simply because we are “Al Ahli”,”
