“We did not deserve to lose the match to Al Nasr given the performance of my team. However, so pleased with the young squad’s potentials and energy. I know it is very hard to compensate 11 key players of the team,” Zoran addressed the media representatives attended the post-match press conference while commenting on the result and performance of Al Ain’s players.

He added: “I believe that draw is a fair result compared to the performance of the two teams.” He congratulated Al Nasr for winning the match and attributed the result to lack of experience of playing high level matches.

He stressed that the young squad proved themselves during the last two matches to be reliable and that a bright future is waiting for them. “We have to take advantage of the skilled and quality players of the “Boss” specially in the coming confrontations, given our tight schedule as well as the schedule of UAE national football team.”

Responding to a question on whether he sees his young “Boss” will be able to qualify to the next stage considering losing the match to Al Nasr, he said: “Our main goal in the Arabian Gulf Cup is to make these players feel confident and to gain more experience. I have full confidence in their potentials and they are able to qualify the groups stage.” He concluded the conference by stressing that the team’s focus now is on next match in line with Al Ain’s strategy of dealing with each match separately.
