H.E. Mohammed Obaid Hammad, Board Member of Al Ain Football Club Company, praised the excellent performance of the team and the proficient reading of the match details by the Croatian Coach, Zoran Mamic, against a strong competitor. The team was able to achieve a great away victory with significant result despite the difficult circumstances suffered by Al Ain following losing their chances to compete to win any of the titles of the local championships except the title of the AFC Champions League. Thank God that the team qualify for the next stage.”
On the team’s preparation for the new football season, he said: “There are technical and organizational aspects related to the preparation program for the new season. Also, in line with the technical side, we will not be participating in the Arab Club Championship.  The team coach, Zoran Mamic submitted a report stating that this championship does not serve his preparatory programs for the new season. Add to that, the team is in need for break time due to the fact that the majority of team players’ participated incessantly in matches of the national team, AFC Champions League in addition to the local competitions for three consecutive seasons. Also, the holy month of Ramadan will be during the set break time and that the next season will start early. We have already suggested that the Championship begins in August to serve the labelled preparation program for the coming season.”
He continued by saying, “Zoran Mamic has nominated certain names needed to support the team in the new season. The team is currently working on recovering the injured players and preparing them for the new season and the post-16th round stage, God willing, to achieve the desired ambitions. The Team Manager, Matar Obeid Al Daheri “Al Sahbani” has already toured several regions of Europe to decide on the right place for the team’s camp in preparation for the next season.”
