Ghanem Mubarak Al Hajeri, Chairman of Al Ain Club Football Company, stressed that the main goals of organizing the Hazza Bin Zayed International Junior Football Tournament is to have an idea about the other football schools and to gain experiences by granting Al Ain Club junior players members the chance to play against various international teams. “Indeed, this an important and explicit indicator of the future of football in Al Ain Club,” said he. He pointed out: “Such a great and valuable chance will give the players a clear idea of to learn about the levels of global football in terms of technical, physical, tactical and intellectual development.”

“I do believe that the 10th edition of the HZB Tournament has achieved the desired success and the core goal that we seek to achieve, i.e. granting our sons the opportunity to be part of this competition and absolutely results are positive by all standards,” commented he on the goals of achieved by organizing such a successful tournament. He added: “Unquestionably, the support provided by H.H. Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Council, First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council & Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, which is held under his auspices, represents a great challenge for us to organize such a tournament in the best manner and to realize its goals on ground.”

Responding to a question on inviting only six clubs to participate in this edition is enough to make it successful, he stated: “The participation of six clubs was a subject of intense debate where certain members saw the participation of eight clubs will be better and other proposed the participation of ten clubs. However, compared to schedule and duration of the tournament and the time available for the participating clubs and our quest to have a perfect and successful tournament to gain the desired a positive result, I think having six clubs onboard was enough.”

On the timing of the tournament and whether it is appropriate, he commented: “Actually, the timing was convenient for our team and for the participating teams as well.”

Al Hajeri concluded his statement by commending all the efforts and contributions of the members of the organizing committees headed by Sultan Rashid, Board Member of Al Ain Club Football Company and Sports Director and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Tournament, Abdullah Ali, Administrative Supervisor of Al Ain Football Academy and Director of the Tournament, and Ali Khamis, Technical Director of the Tournament and other heads and members of the committees. He stated “Their valuable efforts left the participating teams and delegations with impressive impression. They expressed their satisfaction with the stunning reception and hospitality and all facilities provided by the Organizing Committee. They expressed also their wishes to be invited to participate again in the coming edition of the tournament.” Al Hajeri also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the various media representatives who covered all the news of the matches and were one of the success pillars of the international tournament.
