Helping Zoran win his first betting, Al Ain spurred 3 – 0 rout over Al Nasr

Playing the first game under their new manager Zoran Mamić, Al Ain inflicted today night a 3-0 win over Al Nasr at Round 17 of the Arabian Gulf League at HBZ Stadium.
The Brazilian striker Caio Lucas had his side finish 1st half with a 1-0 lead in 23rd minute; Ismail Ahmad cushioned Al Ain’s lead in 57th minute and then Omar Abdurrahman completed Al Ain’s hat-trick from a penalty kick in 78th minute.
The win moved Al Ain back into second place in the table with 37 points; while Al Nasser dropped to 8th place with 22 points.

A Powerful Start
Driven by their desire to secure a lead first, both teams made a vigorous start. Al Ain was visibly dominant as it attacked directly from deep positions and down the flanks.
In 23rd minute, Caio took advantage of Al Shamrani’s rocket bounced back by Al Nasr’s keeper Ahmad Shambih to re-send back it into the net giving his side a 1-0 lead.
In 34th minute, Al Shamrani received a volleying cross from Omar Abdurrahman and headed it into the goal, but his header was also aborted by the crossbar and bounced to Mohamed Abdurrahman who triggered it back but it was pushed away by Shambih into a corner kick which as messed up.
Al Ain’s lead in 2nd half was enhanced when the top scoring defender Ismail Ahmad received a fantastic pass from Omar Abdurrahman and made his way inside the box and scored at 57th minute.
In 78th minute, Al Ain were awarded a penalty kick after one of Al Nasr’s defenders deliberately blocked the ball with his hand to end the game 3-0 for Al Ain.
