“We do understand that everybody is waiting impatiently for this big event to take place here in UAE and all of us in Al Ain Club are proud to be part of it. Indeed, we are determined to be up to the expectations and achieve the desired goals rather than mere presence in this international event,” he stated in the pre-match press conference held for the opening match of the tournament.

Ismael stressed that preparations are still on the go and that whenever Al Ain FC plays in any championship sights are set on achieving certain goals. “For us, our goals are to reach the possible furthest stage in the competition. He underlined that although his team lost their recent match against Al Wasl in the President’s Cup following a thrilling clash match, but it would not have any negative impact on the team’s match against Wellington. “This is a completely different championship and we have to boost our concentration level as we learned a lot following the match against Al Wasl.”

“All the players are aware of the tremendous responsibility they bore. As I stated earlier, they are strongly united and working in the spirit of one team to achieve the best positive results, he said. Ismael confirmed that players will absolutely comply and implement the instructions and plan of the team’s head coach Zoran Mamic and that they all happy that he is not exerting pressures on them prior the kick-off of the tournament.

He concluded: “Unquestionably, we are in dire need of the fans’ support in the coming match. All of us know very well the Al Ain fans need no invitation to attend the match as they are always initiative in supporting and encouraging the players in any competition. In turn, we will spare no efforts to make them happy by achieving the best positive result that secure the team’s qualification to the next stage.”
