The last period was enough to realize everything to achieve the desired targets

The defensive system depends on the names on the main squad… and I do not think about errors as much as I care about finding solutions

During the introductory press conference for his team’s match against Al Wahda, scheduled for the 11th round of ADNOC Professional League, Al Ain Argentine coach, Hernan Crespo, emphasized that: “I’ve been told about the nature of the challenges between Al Ain and Al Wahda, and I realize all the details of this confrontation and how important it is. Personally,I respect derby matches a lot, and the reality confirms that any football player who aspires to achieve strong results must have a winning mindset and demonstrate a challenging and serious spirit. Actually, today we began our preparations for the match scheduled to be held the day after tomorrow, because the team’s players were in need of recovery due to the efforts they made during the past matches.”

Commenting on a question about his knowledge of Al Wahda team, he said: “As always, we are keen to analyze the performance of the opponent team properly according to the technical strategy we adopt in front of all opponents, and we always do our best to find the best solutions on the pitch, and that is my mission in all matches.”

Regarding the individual errors that made some problems for the team during past matches, he said: “We used to not to thinkabout mistakes as much as we are keen to find the solutions, and when the player is at the required level of readiness, we should give him confidence and cooperate with him to correct his errorsand enhance his capabilities, because he is part of the team and we cannot held one individual responsible as football is a collective game.”

“Let us understand the situation well. When I took over the mission less than a month ago, I believe that the past period was sufficient to realize things well after giving all the players the opportunity to play during the past matches, following our qualification to the quarter final of the AFC Champions League and the semi-finals of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup,” he continued.

When asked about his response to those who say that his team did not deserve to lose to Al Nasr, he said: “Actually, I mentioned that after wasting many opportunities in front of the opponent’s goal, in addition to blocking several shots by the crossbar, in addition to the goal scored from 25 yards away, and those cases have nothing to do with the defensive errors. That is why we love football and the defensive system depends on the players in the main squad, and you cannot control everything in football matches.”

Regarding his message to Al Ain fans, he said: “I always emphasize that I’m proud to be part of Al Ain Club, and I’m also happy that I will lead Al Ain in the derby, as I have witnessed several “derby” matches around the world, but this is the first time for me that I will participate in an ADNOC Professional League derby, so I’m motivated to live this experience and we are focused on ending the match with a victory that will make Al Ain happy.”
