He added, “Before the confrontation, we all made a promise to win the Iranian team, regardless of the result of the match between Uzbek Bunyodkor and Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli because we were thinking of serving ourselves and thank God for helping us in our mission and achieve this deserved victory. All contributed to this triumph, especially the goalkeeper, Khalid Issa, whose performance was so superb which is not strange from a distinguished a goalkeeper. I wish he would to continue to exhibit such a great performance during the coming matches.”
In response to a question on the secret behind Al Ain’s away qualifying following securing seven out of nine points away, he stated, “I think the most important thing is to qualify for the 16th Round. However, I’m not happy with the points we lost at home although we have not lost any games in the championship so far. On the other hand, it is not a secret if I told you that the worst feeling for a football player is not to invest in the factors available at home. Yet, we will work hard to take advantage of our mistakes, learn from the lessons of our past confrontations by focusing, score in the right time and keep our sheets clean in order to achieve the best results both at home and away.”
“The name of Al Ain and the character of the logo give scare the competitors in any confrontation with due respect for all teams. I think the team managed to fill all the gaps uncovered during the last confrontation due the coach’s guidance the good execution of the defenders, most importantly Ishmael despite suffering from injury, Mohannad, Khalid Abdul Rahman, Salem Al Azizi, Rashid Muhair and Daoud Ali.  The coach assured us during the meeting that we will not receive any goal and thank God that everyone was up to that confidence and met the expectations.”
