KHAMIS: POSITIVE PARTICIPATION IN THE WORKSHOP ASSURES ITS TECHNICAL VALUE

The Higher Organizing Committee of HBZ U-16 Tournament organized a notional and practical workshop for the technical managers of the participating clubs’ at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium. The workshop was attended by a large number of head coaches of UAE academies to gain more expertise, learn and exchange their experiences with the various football schools participating in the tournament. Players of Al Ain U-18 Football Team were selected to be the demonstrating team.

The workshop was managed by Ali Khamis, Technical Director of Al Ain Football Academy and Chairman of Technical Committee of HZB U-16 Tournament. The experts of football academies participating in the tournament, including: Everton of UK, Real Betis of Spain, Deportivo Atalaya of Argentina and Žilina of Slovakia alongside Al Jazeera and Al Ain clubs, demonstrated a range of technical and tactical implementations dedicated for the team’s back, middle and front lines. Each head coach of the participating teams presented variety of methods and style of playing regarding distributing the roles of players in the field, such as those associated with the defensive tasks of players in terms of exerting pressure on the opponent and the duties assigned to the players in support of defenders and the role of playmaker, offensive tasks, initiating attacks from depth and flanks and many technical and training plans hailed and commended by the attending coaches.

At the end of the workshop, Ali Khamis, Technical Director of Al Ain Football Academy, presented the participation certificates for all attending coaches.
