Al Ain’s South Korean midfielder Lee Myung-Joo confirmed that his team is quite ready to take the challenge of the AFC final first-leg whether their rivals are in Uzbekistan, S. Korea or Japan; “We’re aware of what we have to gain from this 90-minute challenge,” he said.

Lee felt excited to play the AFC finals with his teammates after they had reached advanced stages during the past 3 years; “Personally, I’m very happy that we are just 180 or 210 minutes, in case of an extra time, from standing on the podium,” he expressed.

He regarded their path to the finals was paved with many cobblestones whether in their home or away games and in particular their two-legged loss to Qatar’s El Jaish at the very beginning.
“Hopefully, we will win in order to return the auspicious patronage of our Club leadership and the great support from our fanbase,” he hoped.

He said he would experience a strange feeling to play against his compatriots; “But as a professional footballer, I’ll play my best at home and I’m sure my relatives, friends and fans will cheer me during the game,” he added.

He pointed out that he still maintains friendships with some Jeonbuk players since he was playing in the South Korean League Bōhan Club; “However, we’ll play as competitors; each will try to win the title,” he clarified.
