The South Korean international player, Lee Myung-joo, said, “I have already spent three splendid seasons with the best football team in Asia where I found the spirit of the one family with the management, fans, players and every member of this notable sporting entity.”

He added, “We will face a decisive and crucial confrontation on Monday against Esteghlal Tehran Team, and everyone is required to show his best and fulfill the tasks of his position so that we can qualify and achieve our close goal. All Ainawi Nation, whom I respect and really deserve special recognition for their continuous support for me and giving me the sincerest feelings of the one family in UAE and specifically the quiet “green” city of Al Ain, is the most important weapon in this coming confrontation.”

He went on to say, “We experienced the most splendid 90 minutes in Azadi stadium due to the wonderful big numbers of attendees and the strong support for the hosting team. We were so determined to show our best as we saw in the eyes of Esteghlal’s fans the desire to win the match. I still remember all the sincere wishes of best of luck we received at every moment from Al Ain’s lovers and we tried to make them happy but we did not succeed. For that reason, I hope to see significant numbers of our fans attending the match showing everybody the ideal support to achieve our goals together, that is to make them happy and we promise them to announce our qualification from Hazza bin Zayed Stadium.”

In his response on a question concerning his return to the national team, he said: “Calling me to rejoin the national team list is absolutely a good thing for any football player in the world and a beautiful wish which he will experience in every moment he is spending in his country’s team. He added, “The Korean Team will have a friendly confrontation against Iraq here in Al Ain City which I consider my beloved city. I hope that things will go well and as required and to continue playing with the team until we reach 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.”
