The South Korean player of Al Ain, Lee Myung-joo, pledged to push themselves to the limit during the Monday’s match to qualify for the AFC Champions League quarter-finals. He called for the Ainawi Nation to be available in the stands of the stadium to support and stand up for the players all the time as this definitely will reflect positively on their performance on the pitch.

During the pre-match press conference, he stated that, “It is true that we lost in the first leg match held in Iran 0-1 and that was a disadvantage for the team. However, this result is our motive to make-up the result and win the guest team by a result that surely will enable us to qualify for the next round. All of us are aware of what we are specifically meant to do in the pitch and we are determined to achieve a positive result.”

Praising the Ainawi Nation’s incessant full support for him personally inside and outside the pitch, he said, “I am so thrilled by the support of the team’s fans that I was privileged to receive during the whole past 3 years. I did learn lots of things here. I would like to thank them all for being there for me and I promise them to play hard along with my teammates during this coming game sparing no efforts to win and qualify.” He added, “I would like also to avail this opportunity to thank the fans who decided to dedicate a special “Tifo” for me this coming match to be held in the stands of the stadium.”

Al Ain’s Team player pointed out that, “The match against Esteghlal Tehran will be my last match with Al Ain Team.” He concluded by saying, “In my first season with Al Ain team, my goal was to win the title of the AFC Champions League and last year we qualified to the final match but we lost it and the team was the runner up. I hope that this year the team will qualify to the final match and snatch the dearest title.”
