The team is scheduled to resume training sessions on Sunday without the international players who will be taking part in the UAE national team camp, Abdallah said, wishing the national team the best luck in the challenge to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia.
Commenting on the team performance in the game against Al Ahli, Abdallah asserted that Al Ain deserved to win the game and the performance of players was distinguished. The official said the players of the Garden City Club had a sense of responsibility during the game, pointing out that Al Ain was almost to score the winning goal in the last ten minutes of the game.
The UAE giants, ranked among the best teams in the continent, are used to have a great performance in the Asian tournaments as the players performance gets improved in all games the team play against Saudi, Iranian, Uzbek and other teams, he noted.
It’s a good chance for the coach to give the players a vacation “they deserve”, Abdallah said, adding that Mamic joined six U-21 players in the first team’s training to get to know their capabilities before giving them the chance to take part in the upcoming games.
