Mehdi Rahmati: We Must Be in Full Focus
The Captain of Iran’s Esteghlal Tehran Team expressed his wishes to qualify for the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League on the expense of Al Ain Team. He emphasized that his team managed to win Al Ain Team in the recent match held in Iran by 0-1 in the critical minutes of the extra time of the match. He admitted that the coming match against Al Ain to be held at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium will be a difficult mission, but they are determined to do their best to maintain their chances to qualify to quarter finals.
In the pre-match press conference, he stated that, “We know that the game will not be easy as Al Ain is a strong team and will try to exert lots of pressure on us. We have to be in full focus in order to snatch the qualification card.” He added, “The 16th Round is divided into two parts. We are done with the first part and won the match held in Iran, and the second part will be on Monday at Hazza bin Zayed. We will play hard and hope that will be ready for the challenge.”
