The “international” defender of Al Ain FC and UAE International Football Team, Mohammed Al Shaker, described the atmosphere of the Boss away camp as “motivating and ideal”.
He stressed: “We are training hard to reach the highest levels of fitness and readiness amid high morale and a great desire to get out of the current stage with the best desired gains. This only could be achieved through doubling our efforts in the training sessions and friendly matches. We all here look forward to achieving the Club’s clear goals in the new season and making the loyal fans happy.”
“I have benefited a lot from the Croatian coach, Ivan Leko, on a personal level both in and out the pitch despite the short period I have spent with my teammate in this away camp following the end of the national team away camp in Austria,” he said.
“Ivan Leko gives the player the confidence necessary to develop his performance. He is always so close to the squad players and has good relationships with them due to his great manners and strong personality. I do hope that we will be lucky enough this season to achieve the desired goals,” Al Shaker said.
He also hailed Khalid Eisa capabilities and quality skills. “football is always associated with pressures, and when the defenders have a superior and quality goalkeeper standing behind them as Khaled Eisa, they feel at ease and reduce the pressure they suffer in matches. for me, I feel quite comfortable when I see there, and not to forget his great personality and he always boost our self-confidence and the required strength.”
In response to a question on whether he had reached the required level of harmony with his teammate, he said: “The atmosphere in the Club as a whole stimulates to have the best levels of harmony. As for the adaptation, I did play with more than a player of Al Ain in the national teams, namely Saeed Jumaa, Khalid Al Bloushi, Falah Waleed, Salim Abdullah, and others. This makes it easy for me to be familiar with their style of playing and to swiftly adapt with the team as a whole.”
On his expectations on the team’s competition to win the title of the league, he commented: “I expect fierce competition between the teams to win the title of the new season, given the remarkable and dynamic efforts of big clubs in enhancing their lines by signing local and foreign players. Indeed, the team seeks to put firm hands on the shield should show their genuine strong character as of the kickoff of the season until the last match. He added: “I am sure that my decision to join Al Ain team is an important step in my football career. Commenting on a question on how he received the Boss offer, he said: “Actually, I had unbelievable mixed feelings of happiness, honor, and pride; I cannot describe my feelings at that moment. When I received the offer, I know that Al Ain is one of the biggest teams in Asia and the Boss of UAE teams and I discard all other offers I received with all due respect to all other clubs.”
As for his activities on the social platforms, he said: “Currently, I am thinking about launching a personal account on Twitter, though I have an account on Instagram and another one on Snapchat.”
“I believe that the advantages of social media are more than the disadvantages because the user is the one who determines the way and how to deal with others via these platforms. If you want to be an influential person and benefit from the services provided by these platforms; it is all in the hands of the user. However, once you want to use it in the wrong way, then you are held accountable for all your actions.”
Al Shaker stated that it is not a secret to say that the best decision he has ever taken was to accept Al Ain’s offer and join the Boss squad. “All is what I am thinking about is to achieve my big ambitions with Al Ain. I stated earlier that I look forward to winning titles and attain new local and continental achievements, and then I will think about joining foreign clubs as a professional player.”
He went on to say: “I look forward to embracing the continental glory and I would like to experience the great feeling of holding the trophy of the AFC Champions League. I hope we will be able to write a new number in gold letters in the history of this big Club.”
Al Shaker extended his sincerest appreciation to the Ainawi fans for their high confidence and the remarkable welcome, even during the negotiations until the moment I joined the squad in the away training camp.

I joined Ajman club when I was seven years old as my friends were going there to play football. I felt empty, so I decided to go with them. Then, I joined Ajman junior teams and the national teams until I was selected at the age of 16 years to join Ajman First Football Team.
I wished to experience the historical moments with the Boss players when the squad placed runners up, which is an unprecedented local, regional, and international levels. However, I am experiencing such moments with them via Snapchat.
