Mohammed Khalfan: We came to Tehran to defeat Esteghlal
Mohammed Khalfan, a player of Al Ain FC, emphasized their earnest desire to achieve a positive result versus the host team, saying: “We came to Iran with the aim of getting win over Esteghlal Tehran FC, with all due respect to its aspirations when they get the match on its stadium and among its fans, because we are looking forward to resuming our positive results home and away in the continental championship, and we will show our best performance and fight for the sake of getting back to our beloved country with the three points. This matter is considered as a legitimate ambition for a team which has the required potential to achieve its aspirations and please its fans”. Replying to a question about their preparations to face Esteghlal Tehran’s fans, he said: “I think that Al Ain FC has sufficient experience to deal with all potential circumstances in the continental games, and, it is a certain matter that Azadi fans will reinforce the motives of Al Ain’s players to give the best performance in order to get the result which pleases the fans of UAE and Al Ain in the Asian championship.”
