Today, Al Ain Club has officially announced signing Omer Atzili for two seasons coming from Maccabi Haifa, following successfully passing the medical checkups and completing the contractual procedures in preparation for joining the Boss squad as of the new coming season.
Omer Atzili, in a statement published on the club’s official website, expressed his pleasure got joining Al Ain Team, saying, “Al Ain is one of the biggest clubs in Asia” and stressing: “I am highly motivated to take on this new challenge in my football career with the Boss.”
Regarding the offers he received and the reason for choosing Al Ain, he said: “As I mentioned earlier, Al Ain is a big club and is one of the best clubs in Asia, and it is my ambition to embrace the glory.”
Responding to whether he knows Al Ain Club and the UAE League, he said, “To be honest, I know little about the UAE League. I asked my friends and searched about the ADNOC Pro League on the Internet and thought it is a superior and competitive league.”
“However, I know that Al Ain is the only Emirati football team that won the title of the AFC Champions League in 2003, and I also know that they ended the World Club Cup- UAE 2018 as the runner-up the team played against Real Madrid in the final match. Additionally, I know certain players of the Boss squad, namely Laba Kodjo, the team’s top scorer, goalkeeper Khaled Eisa and Bandar Al Ahbabi, the team’s Captain,” he said.
He stressed that he would definitely get to know the rest of my new teammates and work hard with them to put a smile on the fans’ faces.
He added: The outstanding capabilities of Al Ain, the modern sports facilities, and the world-class football fields of the club motivate any football player to show his best and help him develop his capabilities and be an added value to the team.

He is known for his aggressiveness, being a striker by nature, accurate shots, and intelligence in scoring goals by the head. He is skillful in playing in right-wing, midfield, and left-wing positions. He also won the Top Scorer Player and Best Player awards in the last two seasons of the league.
