In an extraordinary scene, the post-match press conference, attended by the Croatian Zoran Mamic, the head coach of Al Ain FC and the team captain Omar Abdul Rahman, concluded in warm applause by the press and media representatives in Uzbekistan. This came as a recognition of their appreciation for Zoran and Amoory positive responses to their questions although the time set by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) under the regulation came to an end. Amoory, who was named by AFC as the Man of the Match, said during the post-press conference, “For me, winning today’s match is more important than all personal titles related to the match, and of course I am very happy for the positive result we have achieved against the host team and its fans. We scored the first goal after we had control over the game, but the host team was able to achieve draw result twice before we were able to score the winning goal in the very last minute of the game. Indeed, there were some mistakes we are required to deal with because the next stage would be far more difficult. Therefore, this requires special preparation, considerable concentration and large scale efforts.”

In reply to a question as to whether his skillful shooting of the free kicks is acquired by talent or training, Amoory said: “There is no doubt that the talent in football needs continuous development through training, and the interest of the team requires double efforts and considerable concentration from all members. So, naturally, I am required to train myself well on free kicks and promote my skills during the training sessions, particularly because the team coach is always keen on providing me with the technical advice, which helps me give the better performance each and every match.”

About his reaction to the decision of the UAE Football Association on haircuts circulated by the media and social media at the level of the continent, he said “I am not concerned with the decision on haircuts called in Arabic ‘Qaza’.

Responding to a question about the critics’ view that he is the continent’s currently most qualified player to play in the European leagues, he said: “Now, Al Ain FC is my major preoccupation, and together with my teammates, I seek to achieve our predefined objectives with a strong desire and enthusiasm.”

In completion of the former question as to whether the Asians would watch the best player in the continent in one of the most renowned European leagues if his team won the champion league’s title, he said: “I hope so.”

Regarding the secret behind Al Ain’s win over Tashkent’s teams, starting in 2015 with a win over Paxtakor, in 2016 over Lokomotiv and over Bunyodkor in 2017″, he said: “I hope to continue to get robust results over the clubs of Uzbekistan in the future. And, as far as I am concerned, it is a good thing for our team to be able to win away matches over our opponents and amidst their fans.”
