Egypt’s Hussein El Shahat, Al Ain First Team player, emphasized his boundless confidence in his teammates who are determined to do their best and achieve a positive result when they play against Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal FC at home and on turf. He wished them all the best of luck to win the match and back home from Riyadh with the three points in hand.

In a press statements to the Al Ain FC official website, El Shahat said “The coming confrontation will be difficult for the two big clubs; yet, I have full trust in Allah Al Mighty and with Allah’s willing we will win the match.”

Commenting on a question on his first participation in the Gulf Clasico between Al Hilal and Al Ain, he said: “As a matter of fact, I play all my team’s matches as if they are cup’s final regardless the name or spot of the opponent in the ranking list. I work hard to be highly focused and do all my best on the pitch so as to be able to assist my teammates to realize the immense Ainawi Nation’s aspirations.” He also pointed out: “Given that, I deal with all the team’s matches as so critical ones whether they are at the local or continental levels. Since I have worn Al Ain’s jersey, my ambitions will never soar below the sky as it is a big team who holds the slogan of winning all matches.”

“For sure Al Hilal fans are great and worthy of respect, but our focus will be limited to doing our best in the pitch because we are required to exhibit an honorable level of performance that is consistent with the name of our great club who is privileged by a stunning support not only in UAE but also at all local, regional and continental levels,” said he in response to a question of the extensive support that the home team will receive through its fans. He added: “So, we will spare no single effort to achieve the result that meets the ambitions of the Ainawi Nation everywhere.”

On the recent media reports linking his name with tempting offers: he stressed: “I have already mentioned that I am happy to play for Al Ain and currently I have nothing to focus on except for playing for the “Boss” and winning all titles of championships. Also, I and my team’s stars are working hard to make the fans of the “Boss” happy as a reward for those who are always making the difference by their relentless support and encouragement.”

Assuring that the result of the past match ended by losing to Al Hilal in ACL 2017 will by no means has any negative impact on Al Ain, he said: “Each match has its own circumstances, and the history of the teams’ clashes is not a point of measurement and speculating future results.” He signed off by underlining the fact that: “Al Ain players enjoy the potentials to make it happen and win the home team with all due respect for the opponent playing among their fans and on their ground.”
