The goalkeeper of Al Ain and UAE Football National Team, Khalid Eisa, was so keen to open the pre-match press conference dedicated for his team’s match against Al Sharjah by expressing his sincerest apologies for the “Ainawi Nation” due to the negative results of the team during the recent two matches. “Al Ain proved in several occasions that they are able to overcome any challenge or bad times regardless how worse they are because simply we are Al Ain.”

The star of the team promised the loyal fans of the Boss to exhibit the excellent performance and to do their best in the pitch and win all their matches to make them happy and see them back to the standings in support of the team and their significant efforts.

On the match, Khalid stated: “We are playing against the home team and among their fans and above all they are about to put firm hands on the title of the league. Absolutely, it will not be an easy match, given that we are about to finish this current season and our focus now is to change the image of the team and push ourselves to the limit and perform well.”

He added: “The return of the King and their fans to the competition race to win the league title enriched the current season and has been of an added value to the competition. It has made everybody happy again.”

Commenting on a question on reasons behind fluctuations in the performance of the Al Ain squad during the current season following the impressive image they presented in the FIFA Club World Cup, he said: “Actually, this season kicked off perfectly but it turned to be so difficult for us as players and even the fans. No professional player accepts to be a loser as it is included in our dictionary. I hope that all will be well in the coming stage, learn from our mistakes and back to victories track and definitely make our fans happy.”

He went on to say that all the players enjoy the fighting spirit, but it will be difficult to compare the atmosphere of the FIFA competition against any other championship. “Everything is different in terms of media focus, fans and social media activities. The atmosphere we experienced at that time is completely different and was motivating us to do more given that the whole world is watching you playing against big names and teams. Also, not to forget that we were defining the image and reputation of the UAE football which is always our ultimate goal.”

He concluded his statement by a message to all fans, media analysts and all followers of the big club that Al Ain’s players never been inactive or quit their responsibilities. “Al Ain squad always show their genuine spirit of being responsible and accountable and will never let anybody down intentionally. They are doing their best and have the drive to endure all their injuries and personal issues to defend the logo of the Boss. We might fail in fulfilling our duties, but there are factors that led to such a situation, but the only undeniable truth is that we all will up to the expectations and move forward with heads high.”
