Croatia’s Zoran Mamic, Head Coach of Al Ain First Football Team, underlined that his team did not play as required in the round-of-16 clash match of the AFC Champions League. He also stated: “We gave the opponent team the chance to outdo us since the kickoff and due to the many mistakes we committed, as well as players lost their concentration during the first half.”

He added: “We have conceded four goals but we managed to score four goals in our away match in the groups stage. However, we still have other 90 minutes remaining. We will show our best and tackle mistakes and enhance our concentration because everything is possible in the world of football.”

“It is certain that our mission will not be easy in the coming second leg match, but we were successful already and did score four goals by the end of the group stage matches,” said he in response to a question on the extent of level of difficulty in his team’s mission. He stressed: “We only have to be optimistic and be confident in our potentials to snatch the card of quarterfinals. Personally, I do trust my team’s capabilities to respond for conceding the four goals as we have still other five training sessions where surely we will deal with our mistakes and achieve our goals.”
