Rashid Abdullah: Football is not merely a game, and Al Ain Club is a Leading Sports Entity in Its Exceptional Initiatives
Following signing the MoU, Abdullah Rashid, Executive Director of Al Ain Club Investment Company, addressed a brief speech expressing his honor and pride for signing the historical MoU between two big clubs, the UAE Al Ain Club and Israel’s Maccabi Haifa.
Abdullah Rashid pointed described this step as an unprecedented move and manifestation of Al Ain Club’s commitment to follow the UAE wise leadership steps.
“We sign this historical MoU as we believe here in Al Ain Club that football is not anymore just a sports game. It embodies the genuine meanings of responsibility, belonging, loyalty and sacrifice. Indeed, this is why we find big clubs worldwide are held liable to fulfill great responsibilities. They do their best to fulfill lofty and noble goals that are in the line of the vision, values, and principles associated with disseminating the culture of tolerance and establishing the bridges of love and peace and denying any forms of discrimination,” Abdullah Rashid said.
He concluded his statement by expressing his sincerest appreciation to Maccabi Haifa officers in charge, the UAE and Israel football associations and professional league committees, and all those who contributed to concluding this historic partnership.
He also wished that peace would prevail over the whole globe and recover from the epidemic and that life back to normal and see stadiums full of enthusiastic spectators.
