The head coach of the Boss squad opened the post-match press conference of his team, expressing his pleasure with the efforts exerted by the players during the current month as they played a match every three days.
Sergiy Rebrov also thanked the loyal Ainawi fans for their substantial and ideal support for the team in all home and away matches.
Assessing his team’s performance against Al Wasl, Rebrov said: “We played against a strong team; nevertheless, the players created many chances, but they were not lucky enough to score.”
He commented on the referees’ performance: “I prefer not to talk about referees’ mistakes, but we were denied a clear penalty kick. However, we must continue working hard to achieve the best results in the coming stages.”
Responding to a question on the issues still apparent in the team’s defensive system, he pointed out: “Absolutely, we are doing our best to handle these mistakes, particularly in the absence of Danillo Arboleda. We have Rafael, but he is a left-foot player on the right side. We have midfielders with offensive instinct, but as I mentioned earlier, we will try our best to resolve this issue in the coming days.”
