Stressed Al Ain Fans Boost the Boss Strength.. Sergiy Rebrov: We Closed the League Chapter “Temporarily” and Sights are Set To Win the Cup Title
“PLC Pro Cup title is so important for my team and the fans as well,” Al Ain head coach stated in the pre-match media conference held today in Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium ahead of the final match against Shabab Al Ahli scheduled to be played tomorrow at 07:30 pm.
He stressed that it is not easy to play an official match every three days and this is why he adopts the rotation policy among players in the coming stage.
Commenting on a question on the chances that Shabab Al Ahli wins the coming final match based on the belief that the loser of the first match wins the second match, he said: “We won the recent match and it is done. All what I focus on is the Cup final match. We need the fans’ support as they are the main supporters of the squad and boost their strength as of the kickoff whistle until the last minute.”
Rebrov added that all matches are important and that he has already talked to the players that they should close the chapter of the league temporarily. He pointed out that it is important to win the Cup title and then they will resume focusing on the league.
“I trust my squad and the team experienced several changes. I believe that we deserve to win the Cup and league titles,” he said.
He highlighted the fact that it is important to focus on the next game and adhere to the team’s style of playing, given that “we analyzed our performance in the previous match and well aware that the opponent has good players. However, I have full trust in my squad as I stated earlier.”
Responding to a question on the expected absences, he said: “We will miss no players especially we will see Erik and Rafael in the starting lineup.”
