It Was a Tough Season Despite Winning Two Titles and Clinching the League Title Three Matches Ahead of the Season’s End
“The next match is critical, and all the players understand this fact well. In general, it is the last and final match of the league, and the Boss squad has already won the title and hope that the players will enjoy the match,” Sergiy Rebrov stated in the pre-match press conference dedicated for matchweek 26 of the ADNOC Pro League against Al Sharjah.
He expressed his hopes to see the fans in the next match, saying, “I hope to see the fans in the stadium thank the players for their dedicated efforts throughout the season. Indeed, it is important to be together, and I am sure that the players will boost their efforts once they see the fans behind them.”
He went on to say: “Unfortunately, we will miss the international players in this game although they will be there but will not be able to play the match. However, I am sure it will be an interesting match between the champions and the runners up, and this is why it is an important match.”
As for the team’s preparations for the coming match, he said: “There are no special preparations for this match, but the regular ones. Once again, I am so pleased that we were focusing on our team’s affairs and, of course, we were analyzing the opponents’ performance. The same applies to the next match against Al Sharjah. We will not wait for others to do what we are meant to.”
He pointed out that the match will be at home, and he is sure the players will be play confidently, simply because the Boss squad is the champions.”
Sergiy stated that it was not easy to win the PLC Pro Cup and that the critical challenge faced by the team was playing with no fans. However, since the match will be held at home, it is essential to see the fans in the stands, and it will be a good opportunity for the players to say thank you to their loyal fans.
He signed off by saying: “They are playing to make the fans happy, and it is great to be together in the league’s final match. We look forward to achieving more titles in the future.”
