The Japanese international Tsukasa Shiotani, player of Al Ain FC, has expressed his deep thanks and gratitude for Al Ain management for the loyal efforts exerted in the outstanding coordination and excellent communication with the Japanese Embassy to the UAE to facilitate the attendance of a large number of Japanese nationals living in the country in the game between Al Ain and Al Hillal.

“There is a comfortable and friendly atmosphere in Al Ain. I have had such wonderful feeling since I had moved to Al Ain, not only for the great potentials and magnificent facilities it has, but also for its professional management and skillful players. Above all, the people in the city are good and wish good for all’, Shiotani added.

‘I think that I got used to the climate here and I have adapted to the weather in Al Ain, the quiet, green and beautiful city. I think that all people who visit the city wish to live in it. My small family are satisfied with its weather, especially that Al Ain FC has effective communication with the Japanese Embassy, which facilitates our affairs’, he answered a question on the climate.

Speaking on the team’s preparations for Al Hilal confrontation, he said, ‘I, personally, do not know about the Saudi team, especially that we never played against it in Japan. We are currently working on identifying the competitors and their weaknesses and strengths. Certainly, our preparations for the quarter-final first leg match have been successful and all of us have high spirits. We have an urgent desire to achieve a positive result against the other team while respecting its ambitions. We would exploit all of the privileges available for the host at its own stadium amid its fans, especially at the continental tournament. I wish success for my team colleagues and myself’.

‘The objective of taking a file containing the pictures and numbers of my new colleagues is to get closer to them and to break the barriers of language to get to know each other. This has increased my harmony with the team rapidly,’ he answered a question on why he was keen to request the pictures and numbers of all team players before departure to Austria camp.

Shiotani concluded his speech with this message to Al Ain FC fans, ‘I’d like to assure everyone that I am so proud of playing for Al Ain. I promise all to give my vest to contribute, with my team colleagues, to achieving the club goals and making its fans happy and proud. I hope that Hazza bin Zayed Stadium would be full of fans tomorrow to strongly support the players at the upcoming game between Al Ain and Al Hilal’.
