I Hope to See Fans in Massive Numbers to Support the Boss Squad Against Al Dhafra

“This is our first match at home in this new season which is different from the previous one. As we are playing at home, we have to play the champions game and we must only focus on our team’s affairs,” Al Ain Team Head Coach, Sergiy Rebrov, stated in the pre-match press conference dedicated for matchweek 2 of ADNOC Pro League. The match will be held at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium on Saturday 10th September 2022 at 17:45.

He added: “As I always say, we have to show respect to the opponent and focus on our team’s strengths and how to take advantage of the next match to win the opponent by focusing on the team’s performance and playing seriously in the coming match against Al Dhafra. In the previous season, Al Dhafra Team proved themselves as a tough opponent even their performance in matchweek 1 of the league was good, and they could snatch a point from Al Nasr.”

The Boss coach went on to say: “We must take advantage of all the chances to score. In the last match against Ajman, we missed man chances, and by the end of the match, we conceded the draw goal. I believe we have to play intensely as of the kickoff whistle, considering we are playing at home.”

Rebrov also hoped to see the fans behind the team’s players and support them from the stadium stands stressing that “it is a new season and everyone has high expectations, and therefore we have to play each match as a final one.”

Commenting on the new players’ performance so far, he pointed out: “I believe they are adapting well with their teammates. I always review all the players’ statistics, and I see they are doing well in the training sessions. They are in form to play all matches. Indeed, they are not only to adapt with their teammates, but they also should adapt to the place and weather conditions, and they have already adapted to their new conditions, and this really will not take that much time.”

As for the absent or injured players who will not play matchweek2 of the league, he said: “All the players are training and have no injured players; however, we still have 48 hours ahead of the match and will assess the players’ status.”
