Sultan Rashid Sultan Rashid, Board Member of Al Ain Club Football Company and Sports Director and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Tournament, expressed his pleasure by the attribute of the Chairman of Everton FC of the idea and goals of HBZ U-16 Tournament and his keenness to attend the match of his team against Spain’s Real Betis which witnessed high technical level of performance exhibited by both teams. Sultan Rashid stressed: “The commendation made by H.E. Bill Kenright for the Hazza Bin Zayed U-16 International Football Tournament is one of the positive indicators that underline the responsibility of the committees to pursue excellence in their work. Indeed, his presence underlines the importance of the outstanding sporting event which Al Ain City hosts annually and enhances the great successes associated with this international tournament.”

He added: “Such events which the Chairman of one of the well-known big European football clubs has been so keen to attend the competition would contribute to achieve the desired goals of the organizing such a competition. The tournament goals are not limited to the principle of competition to win the title, but also the friction, exchange experiences and opening the door to sign MoUs to expand cooperation among the participating clubs to achieve more gains and benefits for the technical staffs. Indeed, this is what we have seen during the meeting held with the Chairman of the English club, who confirmed his desire to discuss means and approaches of cooperation and to further boost the level of mutual relationships between the two clubs.”

Commenting on a question on his assessment of the technical level of the tournament, he stated: “I believe that the technical level of the participating teams began to intensify significantly. In the first round, we noticed a low level of fitness among the European teams, especially in the last minutes of each match. However, in the scorn round we enjoyed the level of play and performance. The goals of the tournament are not confined to technical aspects, but there are important aspects such as friction and exchange experiences, as well as the events associated with the tournament, such as: the workshops, lectures and presentations of practical training provided by the professional technical staffs of the participating teams. I do hope that everyone will gain the desired benefits.”

Sultan Rashid added: “When an idea and sponsorship is associated with the dear name of the founder of the success strategy, H.H. Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Council, First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council & Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, then the success should be significant. This is because motives become significant and numerous and boosted by the constant excellence which could be achieved by adhering to the signs of evolution to achieve the best indicators of success.”
