H.E. Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Chairman of Al Ain Club Football Company, emphasized the fact that the leadership of this lofty sport entity is always keen to mark the International Happiness Day and not to pass without making the lovers of the “Boss” happy.

Al Hajeri expressed his gratitude and appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Council, First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council & Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, for his directives to complete the deal of Egyptian “international player” Hussein El Shahat in light of the great challenges faced by the club during the negotiations phase.

Al Hajeri also expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the management of Egypt’s “Misr Al Makasa” Club chaired by Major General Mohamed Abdel Salam in furnishing the grounds to make it easy for concluding the transfer deal of the international “Egyptian” Hussein El Shahat to Al Ain Club. He hailed the level of professionalism that the management of Misr Al Makasa enjoys during all the negotiations that ended by concluding the deal in favor of both clubs.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Football Club expressed his pleasure with signing the memorandum of understanding between Al Ain Club Football Company and Misr Al Makasa Club, stressing that “Clauses of the MoU will lead to the desired gains for both sides, especially that the parties concerned with the MoU are more careful and committed to realizing all the memorandum articles and not only to put it on the drawers.”

He stressed that the common desire and success achieved was the cornerstone of the deal to transfer El Shahat to become a player in Al Ain Club for 3 seasons as of the next season. “We wish him success to achieve ambitions on the personal level and with his club and his country,” said he.

He added: “Despite the fact that there has been contradictory news during the past period on this deal, which is not surprising acts from certain channels both at the level of the country or in beloved Egypt. However, the management of Al Ain Club adopted a clear strategy in dealing with the full diligence to reach a satisfactory agreement for all parties.”

He added: “The management of Misr Al Makasa has faced great pressure during the negotiations stage and is respected for not reacting to such pressures and dealing with high professionalism as to the transfer of Hussein El Shahat to Al Ain Club.
Al Hajeri stressed that the Al Ain Club was criticized by many parties for “committing a strategic mistake”. He stated in response to such claims: “Al Ain Club through its professional history has never committed naive mistakes, but it seems that the promoters of such things are not aware of whom he is talking about and perhaps he wanted to choose the shortest route to the world of fame and could not find a name to be heard by people at the local, regional and continental levels except Al Ain Club. It is certain that contracts, terms and agreements have a pattern, a context and methods that we know very well, and we always work to preserve the rights of all parties.”

Al Hajeri stressed that Al Ain is an entity that is distinguished by its leadership, its corporate values, its legends and the fans of the club. “I believe that by resolving El Shahat deal, we are all required to focus on supporting the team during its continental journey, and to encourage all elements of the technical and administrative bodies and players so that the team feels fully supported in its national mission.”

He further explained his standing of criticism: “We accept constructive, purposeful and objective criticism which makes the recipient and the owner of the matter from the management and players and the technical staff are receptive to the proposal and even willing to take it into consideration in order to benefit from its positive aspects from it and to correct the direction and be on the right path seen by the remote critic and which may be unclear to the relative of the event.”

He added: “Our sports programs, our distinguished channels, Abu Dhabi and Dubai are two of the best media platforms, and we see the role of leadership in their unlimited support of sports, athletes and the sports industry in our beloved country. It is true that these national channels represent themselves and cannot be represented by people. Therefore, as sports lovers, we have to stand together with our sports product presented by our distinguished channels Abu Dhabi and Dubai Sports.”

Al Hajeri said: “Sports entities and clubs are institutions led by leaders who has well defined and planned strategies and policies. Add to that people responsible for their departments are not above criticism as some believe, but the critic must be one of the stakeholders and enjoy the right competences.”

Al Hajeri expressed his sincere wishes on the occasion of the World Happiness Day and addressed the officers in charge of these national channels and institutions all their subordinates and brief them on the objectives, messages and vision of their institutions and to strive hard to spread happiness and positiveness and mark the theme of giving in all what they do.”

He concluded by saying: “Credit must be given where credit is due, and we should preserve rights of freedom of opinion and expression to be above of freedom of thought and reason because the next stage requires everyone to respect all parties in proportion to their duties and missions. We have to be a role model of the people of the “United House” mentioned by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, President of Al Ain Club in his letter.
