The “Boss” Appears in Full White and Esteghlal Tehran Wears Full Blue.. Essam Abdullah Asks the AFC Officials to the Provide Essential Level of Protection for the Boss’ Fans

The qualifying meeting of round 2 match of Group C between Al Ain and Esteghlal Tehran was held on Monday afternoon at 11:00 at the head office of the Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI). The meeting was chaired by Philippine’s Richard Dail Fanso, Commissioner of the Match, and attended by the referees’ Assessor, Syria’s Basil Al Hajjar, representatives of the two clubs, organizers from the AFC, local organizing committee of FFIRI and Esteghlal Tehran Club. Al Ain FC delegation was headed by Issam Abdullah, Team Administrative Officer, while Esteghlal Tehran Club was represented by Ali Hajillo, the team’s administrative officer.

The Match Commissioner reviewed all the organizational details with the attendees and underlined that each club will be merely held liable for involving any suspended player, if any. He also identified that Al Ain’s defender, Ismael Ahmad, will not be allowed to play this coming match for receiving straight red card in the team’s recent round 1 match against Saudi Arabia Al Hilal. Meanwhile, the home team has no suspended player.

The attendees also tackled other issues including each team’s share in the standings of the stadium. The Esteghlal officials stated that the estimated number of spectators to attend the match is more than 60,000 fans. In the meantime, Issam Abdullah requested the AFC Officials to maintain the share allocated for the team’s fans and to provide the essential protection for those who desire to support the Boss.

During the meeting, it was decided that Al Ain would wear full “White” with purple stipes set, while the goalkeeper would wear full green set. During the warming up session before and during the match, the Boss squad will wear a silver set.

The Iranian team would wear a full blue set and goalkeeper would wear full yellow set. During the warming up session before and during the match, the players will wear a golden set.

As for the Omani referees team, it was decided they are to wear full black set.
