Zoran Mamic began the post-match press conference held following the end of his team’s match against Al Nasr by extending his congratulations for deservedly winning Al Nasr by clean three goals and securing the third win for the team in matchweek 3 of the Arabian Gulf League held in Maktoum bin Rashid Stadium.

He excitedly stated: “The Boss showed a high level of fighting spirit during the 90 minutes of the match and remained highly focused and dealt with match smartly. Definitely they deserved to win the match and the 3 points. I believe tonight’s performance and result is a good step in the team’s journey to compete to win the league’s title.”

“It is all about preparations which made the difference tonight. Prior to Al Dhafra match we had only few days to prepare the team for that match following having the international players on board. As for tonight’s match, we had five pre-match training sessions,” he responded to a question on the massive difference he created compared to Al Dhafra match given that the only addition this time is only one player, that is Marcus Berg,
He stated that he does not care for the number of goals that his team scores as much as he cares for winning and back to Al Ain fort with the three points in hands. “It is a fact that Al Ain FC is the best club in UAE.”

When asked to give more explanation on the aspects that make Al Ain the best club in the State, he commented: “There are several reasons, but I can summarize them in two important things: The Boss’ strong character and the player’s high potentials.”

He signed off: “There are technical figures I do not want to tackle here as a head coach of Al Ain. It is better that sport specialists and analysts address such a topic.”
