The Boss “Al Zaeem” officially announced its qualification to the 2023-24 AFC Champions League semi-finals, after its exciting triumph over its host Al Nassr, KSA, with 3-1 penalty kicks after Al Nassr ended the match heading 4-3 at Al AwalPark Stadium in Riyadh, within the second leg of the 2023-24 AFC Champions League quarter-finals.

In the normal time of the match, Al Ain took the lead through Soufiane Rahimi two goals (28’, 45’), before Al Nassr managed to make a remontada with three goals scored by Abdul Rahman Gharib (45’+5’), Al Ain goalkeeper Khaled Issa (51’, own goal), and Alex Telles (72’).

In the extra time, Al Ain took the lead via Sultan Al Shamsi’sgoal (103’), but Al Nassr came back to equalize via Cristiano Ronaldo (118’, penalty kick).

In the penalty shootout, Al Ain managed to score three goals out of three attempts, while Al Nassr scored only one goal out of four attempts.
