Mohamed Ali Shaker, defender of Al Ain Club, said that “Al-Zaeem” is ready for the second leg against Al Bataehin ADIB Cup, confirming that “the coach is keen to analyze the performance of the first leg match, and worked during trainings on correcting mistakes and enhancing positive aspects of the team style. All of the players are aware of the importance of having a strong impression in the day after tomorrow’s match especially that the following match will be Al Ain Club’s first appearance in AFC competitions during the current season. We pray for Allah the Almighty to grant us success and to continue gaining positive results”.
“The concept of modern football always confirms the importance of a balance of the team’s playing style. The coach always seeks to practically reflect such concept on the pitch. Defense starts from the front line. I think that the team makes improvements on the defensive aspect. In the last two official matches, we kept clean sheet. As I said, the coach always works on improving the performance and correcting mistakes during trainings in order to develop the team’s performance”. Shaker commented on a question about whether there are defensive problems.
“Nothing is guaranteed in football. The better team who exerts the most efforts on the pitch will win. We are aware of what is needed from us and we have a clear target. We will play the second leg seeking win while respecting ambitions of the competing team. We need to do our best, especially the players who had the opportunity to participate in ADIB Cup matches in order to confirm their preparedness to enter the squad at any time the team needs them”. Shaker replied to a question about whether Al Ain guaranteed qualification after result of the first leg.
Shaker concluded his speech in the press conference ahead of the match against Al Bataeh saying “I would like to extend my greetings to Al Ain loyal fans who keep supporting the team in all home and away matches. We promise them to double the efforts and work hard to make them happy in all the team’s challenges in the current season”
