Pedro: We did not Deserve to Lose to Ajman at Home
Portuguese Pedro Emmanuel stated that his team did not deserve to lose to Ajman and exit the President’s Cup.
He opened the post-match press conference dedicated to round 1 of the President’s Cup against Ajman by saying: “I stated that his team did not deserve to win Bani Yas, but tonight we deserved to win. We were aware that our opponent has a solid defensive line, and we should have concentered more, dominate the match, not allow them to launch counter-attacks, and commit any mistakes in our area. In the first half, we did not play well, and Ajman only launched two strikes and scored their only one goal.”
He added: “In the second half, we controlled the match and had more chances to score by intensifying our attacking attempts. We had 20 shots on Ajman’s goalkeeper, and 5 were direct. We were not lucky enough tonight, and by the end of the day, we lost the match, and we are out of the President’s Cup.”
