All Players Are Ready Except Caio Canedo Who Will Be Absent for Couple of Weeks

“I believe the players were disappointed because of the result of the recent match against Al Nasr Team although all statistics and the analysis of the team’s performance showed that we played a good match. Unfortunately, things like this happens in the football game,” Sergiy Rebrov stated in the pre-match press conference of matchweek 21 of ADNOC Pro League against Shabab Al Ahli.

The head coach of Al Ain Team stated: “We should focus on the coming important match against Shabab Al Ahli and players should understand how important this match is and they should play seriously with explicit spirit of determination.”

Rebrov added: “Of course, it is difficult to play official matches following the FIFA days break. Laba Kodjo and Andriy Yarmolenko flew for long distances, but the good thing that all players are well and suffer from no injuries except for Caio Canedo. The latter was injured during the last match he played with the UAE National Football Team. The remaining players are in form and ready to fight for the Boss badge.”

On his expectations of the expected scenario of the next match against Shabab Al Ahli, he said: “I believe all matches will not be easy for us; exactly like what happened in our match against Al Nasr Team. Everyone was expecting we would snatch the three points, but you suddenly lose the match. However, the players should enjoy high level of seriousness in the next match against Shabab Al Ahli and they should have clear minds and understand well how to play against the opponent.”

“Since we are playing at home and among our fans, we have to play with aggressiveness as we need the match’s three points and we have to prove that on the pitch,” Rebrov said.

Responding to a question on the current status of Andriy Yarmolenko and Tin Jedvaj, he said: “Tin Jedvaj started to recover and has recently joined the team’s training sessions and the same for Andriy Yarmolenko who did not train with the team for long time.”

He went on to say that based on their level of fitness he will made his decision to add their names to the starting lineup of the team.

“Yarmolenko spent one week training with Ukraine National Football Team and has recently rejoined the team and hope he will be in form. As for Tin Jedvaj, he suffered from muscles injury two weeks ago and rejoined the team’s training sessions a couple of days ago,” he stated.

The coach of the Boss squad addressed the Ainawi fans a message saying: “I promise the fans that players will come to the field without any tensions while enjoying the required level of concentration and play as planned. I promise the fans that players will not follow up the social media and focus only to serve the best interests of the team and do what they are meant to do on the pitch.”

“This is the only way to make the fans happy and would help them to play with concentration since the kickoff whistle until the last minute of the match and achieve the positive result required,” he concluded.
