“Al-Zaeem” returned home with a significant win against their host Uzbek Pakhtakor with a 0-3 result in the match held this evening at Bunyodkor Stadium, Tashkent, as part of the first round of Group A matches of the 2023-2024 AFC Champions League.
Laba Kodjo scored two goals 11”, 66” while Khalid Al Baloushi scored one goal 26”.
Al Ain held 1st position in the Group with three points following the end of the second match in the same Group, with Ahal, Turkmenistan defeating their guest Al Fayha, KSA 1-0 at the multi-purpose Ashgabat Stadium.
The Asian Football Confederation gave the Togolese striker, Laba Kodjo, the Man-of-the-Match award.
