BoD Directs to Provide Meriah with the Proper Medical Treatment

Yassine Meriah: Thanks Go to My Ainawi Family, Club’s Management, Teammates and Loyal Fans

The Boss stars were keen to check on their teammate, Al Ain Team defender Tunisia’s Yassine Meriah and to contact him directly. Yassine was injured in his national football team match against Egypt National Football Team in the semifinal stage of the FIFA Arab Cup 2021 ended by 1-0 in favor of Tunisian team.

Yassine Meriah reacted to his teammates’ messages on the spot and expressed his appreciation for their support and being next to him and checking upon him. He also expressed his sincerest gratitude to the Club’s Management for their close follow-up and attention to his status.

The Tunisian player stressed: “One of the bright aspects of Al Ain Club and makes it excel among other sports clubs is the family spirit and loyalty to the lofty sports entity.”

The international defender expressed his deepest appreciation to the Ainawi Nation who always prove to be the best at all times by supporting the squad stars in all circumstances.

Meanwhile, the Team Supervisor Abdullah Ali pointed out that the initial medical reports submitted by the Tunisia Football Association to the Club management confirmed that the he suffers from cruciate ligament.

He added: “I had a phone call with Yassine to check upon him. He is a quality player enjoying the leadership charisma and handling all situations flawlessly. He believes that it is his fate to be injured and any player is subject to experience such a situation. We wish him a speedy recovery and be back to normal and rejoin his teammates at the earliest.”

As for the date of his return to the team, Abdullah Ali said: “The BoD chaired by Dr. Matar Al Darmaki directed to ensure providing the player with the proper medical treatment through direct coordination with medical staffs of the Al Ain Team and Tunisia International Football Team and follow-up the reports. They directed also to commence the medical treatment once he arrives in UAE scheduled to be within 72hrs.”

In response to a question on whether there is any intention replace him by a new player, he said: “We have already tackled this issue and the Club’s plans during the winter transfer market window. It was stressed that it is too early to consider the details of this issue. The head coach would submit his technical report to be reviewed by the Al Ain Club’s Pro Committee following the injury of the squad defender.”

He signed off by stating that on the light of that, the Pro Committee would submit its recommendations to the BoD and details would be announced to the public in the due time.
