Zlatko congratulates his men on 3rd consecutive victory in AGL
Zlatko Dalić, Al Ain’s Croatian coach, congratulated his men on securing the third victory in a row and praised their excellent performance and control of the proceedings.
“In the first half, we managed to score two goals and control the course of the game. We went on the counter attacks and further piled pressure on our rivals during the second half. In a nutshell, we are both happy and satisfied with winning the 3 points,” he said.
Zlatko confirmed that the lineup was carefully selected so that he didn’t have to make any substitution during the match; with all the players showing amazing performance and adequately adhering to the directives and maintaining their fitness.
“Al Nasr is a good team; they persistently sought an equalizer. However, we proved to more more balanced and well-organized. Hopefully we will carry on the same spirit to the end of the competition”, he added.
He agreed that today’s game may serve as a good ‘rehearsal’ for the coming games; “We temporarily turned the page of AFC competition to focus on the AGL since we have the responsibility of achieving the best results at all competitions. We still have two AGL games against Dibba and Al-Shabab before the AFC finals”, he concluded.
