Zoran: Al Ain Is Fully Ready To The Fierce Game Against Zob Ahan To Pursue Its Way In The Continental Championship
The Croatian coach, Zoran Mamic, emphasized the importance of his team’s game against the Iranian Ahan Esfahan, asserting that: “the first-leg game featured fierce challenge and contention between the teams, but the second-leg game is of great significance for both sides. We realize that our rival is a sturdy and well-organized team, includes superior players; however, we are going to do our best to return to Al Ain with positive score, in order to help get qualified to the third group”.
He added “In the first-leg game, we were faced by unfortunate chance, so, I hope to have a lucky day in the second-leg game. Overall, we are completely ready to show the fighting spirit before our rival at its home and before its fans, in order to pursue our challenging way in the continental competition. Responding to a question about his expectations for the second-leg game scenario, in analogy to the last game for both teams in Iran, ended by two clean goals for the benefit of Al Ain, he states “At that game, I was not the team coach, but I watched the game, in which Al Ain played well. I think that each game played by the team is a special challenge for the players, and is totally different, whatever the case may be. I assure that Zob Ahan is a good and well-organized team, has a fast play and includes distinctive elements, such as Mortada Tabrezi, Ihsan Bahlawan, etc. So, we have to do our best.
Replying to a question about the number of goals received by his team in this season Champion League in four games, as it scored 8 goals and received 7 ones, although the team has highly-qualified players in the front line, he states “this is a problem we are trying to figure out proper solutions for, not only in the Champion League, but also in the Gulf Arab League, as the team experiences many absences in the defense and center positions, of which the majority are “international” players, we cannot change the current situation quickly, but we are determined to appear sturdy against Zob Ahan”.
Replying to a question about the potential of Omar Abdulrahman along with Kaio and Danilo, he said ” concerning Omar Abdulrahman, I think that his potential is a good representation for his skills, he is the continent’s unquestionably best player. Kaio Locus is a young player who features strong potential, and an earnest desire to dedicate himself, fast play and ambitions, and when it is his heyday, he does his best in the football games. For Danilo Asprilla, the last year witnessed his impressive performance, contributing to the win over Zob Ahan, but this season he does not participate in many official games, because of his injury and suspension, he is a talented player. I hope he shows his usual performance before Zob Ahan.
