In the pre-match press conferences, the Croatia’s Head Coach Zoran Mamic stressed the importance to win the coming away match against Hatta as part of the second round of the Arabian Gulf League, especially after losing two important points due to draw result in the home match against Al Wasl in the first round.

“We will miss the efforts of the Captain of the team, Omar Abdul Rahman, in this coming match due to injury. However, his teammates are all fully ready and up to it,” said he. He added, “I have full trust in all the players of my team and I personally realize that our mission in Hatta will not be easy, particular our opponent has already lost his recent match in the first round, in addition to the high temperatures at the time of the kickoff whistle. All of this requires us to redouble our efforts to achieve the result required from the start until the end of the match.”

“Absolutely, we are required to do our best against the opponent team who will spare no efforts to play well against Al Ain. However, I am fully confident that my team will return from Hatta with the three points,” said he.

Commenting on a question on his assessment of the match against Hatta in the Arabian Gulf league, especially he has already faced the same team in the Arabian Gulf Cup recently, he said: “I think that Saturday’s match is completely different from the one we played in the Arabian Gulf Cup. I do respect the ambitions of our competitor, but as I said to you I have full confidence in my team’s ability to do their best on the pitch in the manner that enables them to return from Hatta Stadium with the three points.”

“Compensating absences in the lines of the team is part of my job and there is no need to talk about the impact of the absence of the captain of the team in our next game.

Definitely, we are required to have more concentration and demonstrate our best,” he said in response to a question on his assessment to his team’s performance in the absence of the captain of the team, Amoory. He added, “Again, I mentioned to you my trust in all the team players’ potentials to meet all the possible circumstances. ”

He concluded by commenting on a remark regarding the press reports regarding Al Ain’s intention to contract with Al Wasl’s player, Lima, saying that: “Lima is a good player, but we already have four foreigners in our squad and we do not have any plan to change the current status. Also we did not discuss this issue with anybody from Al Wasl during our recent match held here in Al Ain.”
