The head coach of Al Ain FC Zoran Mamic stated that we will resume the league matches following the three-week suspension during which the international players joined their national teams. “Indeed, there is no enough time to prepare the team in the right manner due to the tight schedule we have and absence of the international players.”

During the pre-match press conference of Al Ain against Kalba of the matchweek 10 of the AGL attended by Zoran Mamic and Al Ain Bazile’s player Caio Lucas, he underlined that the match will not be easy, given the suspension time. “Kalba is one of the good teams and proved many times that they paly home matches impressively. However, we will spare no efforts to win the match and snatch the three points.”

The Croatian head coach pointed out that there are still a number of the first-round matches and he and the coaching team will assist the players to raise their concentration levels in and off the pitch to deal with all of them professionally.

In response to a question on the compact defensive style adopted by the opponent, he said: “It is important for us to score. Players should be highly focused and be fast like a flash and enjoy the required aggressivity spirit; indeed, these are the basic elements to score goals besides taking in consideration that it will not be an easy mission.”

“We still have two training sessions and will assess the players’ level of performance prior taking my decision,” he responded to a question on whether he will give the international players a break and give the opportunity for the players who did well in the Cup competition. “However, if we examine time of playing with the national team, we will find that Ahmad Barman played only one full match and only a half time of the second one. Bandar Al Ahbabi played two matches while Khaled Issa is not affected by the efforts he exerts during matches. I will prepare all available players in the right manner for the coming matches.”

Commenting on the draw of the AFC Champions League and his assessment of Al Ain’s group, he said: “No doubt that it is the strongest and it is too early to talk about the league; we have to focus on Kalba match in the league.”
