Zoran: Looking Forward to Winning ES Sétif

In the post-match press conference dedicated for the return match between Al Ain and ES Sétif, Zoran Mamic, Head Coach of Al Ain FC, stressed that the “Boss” outperformed Algeria’s ES Sétif in the first leg match of Round 32 of the Arab Club Champions Cup prior they leveled the result and took the lead in the final minutes of the match. “However, that match was a good and strong test for the team in the mid of the preseason training camp,” said he

He added: “I am sure my squad will do their best in tomorrow’s match and win our opponent to qualify to the last 16-team stage of the championship. Hope that we will achieve the required result without any injuries.”

“As of the following Sunday, we will kick off our special preparations for the top clash match against Al Wahda scheduled on 25th August 2018 in Cairo the capital. It is a very important challenge as sights are set to clinch the title of the Arabian Gulf Super Cup,” stated he.

On the current problem facing the team in the front line which was evident in the first leg match, he commented: “Sure that Ibrahim Diaky is not the team’s striker, but he is good in playing behind a striker. We will sort this issue out soon and waiting for Berg to be physically ready for coming matches and challenges.”

Commenting on Berg’s level of readiness and the possibility to include his name in the starting lineup of the coming match, he said: “We will assess his level of readiness in the coming training session and if it comes to me I will not take the risk making him play the coming match. However, I might give him the chance to play part of it.”

“It is certain that Omar Abdul Rahman, Mohannad Salem, Mohammed Ahmad and Ahmad Barman will be absent due to other football-related commitments. Again, I hope to have no injured players by the end of the match,” commented he on expected absences.

As for the solutions adopted to settle the dispute between Al Ain Club and UAEFA, he said: “The best interest of UAE football sector and logic imposes a situation where we have to handle disputes in the spirit of teamwork. We all have common goals in preparing and making players ready for the challenges of the coming season on both the club’s and the national team levels.”
