The Croatian Zoran Mamic, the head coach of Al Ain FC, said that the coming match between his team and Al Wasl FC is very important for both teams; as it represents a fierce challenge for the first three standings on the Arabian Gulf League table. So, both teams will show great fighting spirit for the sake of getting victory and obtaining the three points.
In his speech during the press conference ahead of the game, Zoran emphasized that Al Wasl is a strong, well organized team, and has some highly valuable players, but our aim against the competitor is clearly determined; namely, winning the game and going back to Al Ain with the three points.
In reply to a question about the chance of his defense player Mohamed Ahmed, who recently recovered from an injury, to take part in the game, he said (“It is certain that Mohamed Ahmed has not yet reached the required level of physical fitness which enables him to be involved in formal games, so, we are not going to involve him in our game against Al Wasl, but, we are seeking to get him prepared and ready for the forthcoming game in which he is likely to participate.”)
Responding to a question about whether the game against Al Wasl will be a preparation of his team for the game against the Iranian football club Zob Ahan, on the AFC Champions League, He said: “Our strategy for dealing with all games is well established and evident, and our major preoccupation now is on the game against Al Wasl, because all our games are important, and after the end of the game of the national league, we are going to prepare ourselves for the fateful game against Zob Ahan on the AFC Champions League.”)
