Zoran Selects 20 Players for the Match Against Al Hilal in Riyadh

Al Ain players will conduct their main training session at 7:30 p.m. (Riyadh local time) 8:30 p.m. (Abu Dhabi local time) at the King Fahad International Stadium in preparation for the crucial match scheduled to be held against Al Hilal on 11th September 2017 as part of the AFC Champions League quarterfinals.

In order to qualify for the semifinals round, Al Ain FC needs to achieve a positive draw result against their opponent during the 90 minutes of the game and not in the extra time, or to win Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia. The Ainawi “Boss” is well aware that their mission will not be easy, especially the home team enjoys a great support from their fans and plays in their pitch where the standings accommodate nearly 70,000 fans. Nevertheless, it is Al Ain players who enjoy the field experience that will definitely enable them to overcome all the circumstances and deal with coming away match of the AFC Champions League.

Headed by H.E. Ghanem Mubarak Al Hajeri, Chairman of Al Ain Football Club Company, Al Ain FC Delegation flies to Riyadh via a private chartered jet.

Al Ain’s Head Coach Zoran Mamic has already chosen 20 players to represent Al Ain FC in coming match against Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, namely: Khalid Issa, Daoud Suleiman, Mohammed Saeed Bou Senda, Ismael Ahmed, Mohammed Ahmed, Rashed Muhayyer, Saeed Jumaa, Tsukasa Shiotani, Ahmed Barman, Suleiman Nasser, Mohammed Khalfan, Bandar Al Ahbabi, Mohsen Abdullah, Ryan Yaslam, Mohamed Abdul Rahman, Omar Abdul Rahman, Youssef Ahmed, Caio Lucas, Marcus Berg and Dyanfres Douglas.

Expected Absentees

Tomorrow’s match will witness the absence of Al Ain’s two defenders, Mohannad Al Enezi and Khaled Abdul Rahman, for suspension. Mohannad was sent off in the previous match by red card while Khaled received his second yellow card. In the meantime, the team recovers the efforts of its strong defender, Ismael Ahmed. It is expected that Al Hilal will retain the services of their two players Nawaf Al Abed and Nicolas Melisi. As for absentees, the team will have three suspended players: Salman Al Faraj, Abdullah Otaif and Abdullah and another two key players for injuries: Yasser Al Qahtani and Mohammed Al Braik.

Technical Meeting

The technical meeting dedicated for the coming match is scheduled to be held on Sunday 10th September at 0430 p.m. at the meeting hall attached to the King Fahad Stadium. The meeting will be chaired by Malaysia’s Mohammed Saifu Eddin Abu Bakr, the match’s observer. It is also scheduled to hold Al Ain FC pre-match press conference in the conference hall attached to the King Fahd International Stadium in the presence of Croatian Zoran Mamic, Head Coach of Al Ain FC and one of the team’s players at 05:30 p.m. while the Saudi Arabia’s Hilal starts theirs at 05:50 p.m.
