Croatian Zoran Mamić, Al-Ain manager, stressed the importance of his team’s strong appearance against Hatta in the first Gulf Cup match.

“We are aware that we will miss the efforts of eight internationals, however, I trust all players who will defend the slogan of Al-Ain against the opposing team,” Mamic said.

I trust the ability of young players to show their best to compensate for the absence of “international” players, assuring everyone that they are challenging and they always meet the high expectations,” the Coach said.

“Our goal is to win the three points and achieve our first win with the start of our domestic plan in the new football season,” added he.

He went on to say, “We want to give young players the chance to gain the experience of the official confrontations with the players of the first team and to qualify them in the way required for the “Boss” challenges in the near future.”

Concerning the transfer of some of the official matches of his team to the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium as off the Hatta game, he said: “We have to accept the current situation. There are some preparations going on for the FIFA Club World Cup in one of the best football stadiums in the world and I think that the fans used to attend the club events in all fields to support the players.”

“So I expect that the fans will flock to the game stadium to support Al-Ain young players and to boost their morale in order to achieve victory,” he said.

On the importance of the Cup competition for his team, he said: “As a coach, I look forward to winning all the matches even friendly ones, so all the championships that my team plays are of great importance to me and my goal is to win all the championships with respect to Al-Ain local and continental competitors.”
