Hernán Crespo, the Argentine manager of Al Ain, emphasized, during the introductory press conference for his team’s match vs Al Bataeh, that his team’s preparations went very well to take on his team’s match during the second round of competitions of ADNOC Pro League, elaborating: “We are well aware that our next match will be very intense against a powerful competitor, but we always put our eyes on our team’s current situation and we are looking forward to finishing this stage, which comes before the stoppage time due to the players’ engagements with their national football teams during “FIFA Days”, in the most appropriate manner.”
In response to a question about the secret behind his team’s strong kick-off during the current season, he said: “In the football world there are no secrets, so everyone knows that the strategy Al Ain football club adopts is based on preparing a powerful team that is capable of realizing the club’s sought after goals and to please our fans. That’s why we signed distinguished players in order to fortify the team’s ranks for the intense competition over the title of all tournaments and to show the team’s tough personality during all matches.”
Commenting on a question about putting his name on the list of football managers who were capable of claiming the best accomplishments with their club, he said: “In the beginning, I would like to extend my gratitude to the fans of Al Ain over their continuous support and cheering, as well as their amazing presence in support for the team. I also feel immensely proud for being affiliated with Al Ain and for what we have achieved together. Moreover, I am happy with the fans’ support, and I think that Al Ain’s coronation with the title of AFC Champions League football tournament on two occasions, the first time was with the French manager Bruno Jean Cornil Metsu, and the second time was with me, is considered something that will be recorded in history, in addition there is a third moment in the history of Al Ain FC,which is making it to the final match of Clubs World Cup, but we should not think about the past because there is a clear and strategic vision for this great club, so we are now in the process of making a new history and we wish success and good luck for the team.”
