Vladimir Ivić, who is the Serbian head coach of Al Ain first football team, emphasized that his team has completely shifted its concentration to focus on the ADNOC Pro League football tournament, as they managed to secure the qualifying ticket to the final match of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup “ADIB”, he also stressed that the local ADNOC Pro League remains the main sought after goal for his team through the current stage of competitions.
During the introductory press conference for his team’s upcoming match vs Kalba Club, Ivić said that Al Ain Club is preparing to play a not-very-easy match vs a competing team with distinguished players, despite its most recent result, so he explained through the following statement: “Kalba Club is a good team, we have already played against them through the first round of competitions of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup “ADIB”, where the first and second leg matches of that stage were very difficult and could only be decisively secured via the penalty kicks. They have good players and a distinguished head coach, we are also well aware that this upcoming match will not be easy.”
Al Ain first football team’s Serbian head coach added that his team’s preparations are going on very well, in light of the complete commitment of the available players inside the team’s ranks, despite several players are absent due to their participation with their national football teams, he also pointed out that this stage of competitions represents an important opportunity for the other players so they can prove their potential and fortify their chances to join the team’s starting lineups on the pitch.
Ivić also mentioned his team’s performance during their most recent match, emphasizing over the necessity to correct some aspects of play, especially regarding match’s kick-off, so he said the following statement: “Our most recent match did not start with the required manner and this is something that needs to be changed. What happened can be considered as a not very satisfying match only, which is something probable in the realm of football, but now the most important thing is the reaction and the manner with which we will be playing our upcoming match.”
