Ivić: We claimed a deserved victory over Baniyas
Vladimir Ivić, who is the Serbian head coach of Al Ain first football team, emphasized that his team has delivered a very distinguished performance, over which the team deserved to claim victory after scoring three goals without response over their host team Baniyas. This victory came in the match that brought the two teams together on tonight’s evening on the pitch of Baniyas stadium. This match was taking place in the 22nd round of competitions of the local ADNOC Pro League football tournament.
Ivić congratulated his players over their distinguished performance and their highly tactical discipline which were the team’s marking features during the match’s lifespan, he also pointed out that “The Boss” had imposed its full dominance over the match’s playtime, the team also wasted several scoring chances during the match’s first half.
In his speech during the post-match press conference, Ivić said the following statement: “Even though the match’s result remained as is 0-1 up until the minute 80 of the match’s lifespan, but we maintained our full concentration, and we were also capable of quickly restoring our full dominance over the match’s playtime after the competing team’s attempts to score through crosses and corner kicks. So, we deserved to claim this victory and the match’s three points.”
